Your experience will be fun and informal yet informative and productive. You're definitely going to throw your own bowls. We start by familiarising you with our Pottery studio, the wheels equipment and tools we will use during your experience. Then it's straight onto the wheel where you learn to centre the clay, and throw a pot. Onceyou have your pot formed we'll clean it up a bit and lift your creation from the wheel to dry. Then we'll do it again. You can throw as many pots as time allows. NOTE PLEASE: No children under the age of 12 yrs old, this is an adult experience and not catering for children Please be aware there is an EXTRA cost if you decide to keep your pots, this is for the bisque kiln firing and seashell glazing and you can decide either way on the day if you want to keep your them (or not) and how many (Postage & Packing is included in the additional cost.) £10 p pot if you can collect £15 packaged and posted (you pots are fired twice in the kiln and seashell glazed) we have never put our cost up for this please check the reviews

You will go up into the shop where we will have a brief health and safety chat, you will then receive your bag of feed for your alpaca and we will head into the field to meet all of our trekking boys. Once you have chosen your Alpaca and had a stroke of their super soft fleeces, we will walk around and up the field through our paddocks where we have other sheep and alpacas. With stunning views of Bodmin moor and our animals you will spend approx 1 hour walking around the fields where we will feed, and take photos. Once back down in the shop you will have your Cornish Cream tea, all made with Cornish products. You will be able to ask questions and mooch around our shop and see all our lovely quality made products. We hope to see you on the rolling hills of Bodmin Moor soon. First with hand-building methods, pinch pots and coil pots. Second is a demonstration on potters' wheel followed by personalised guidance on throwing a cup. Third, independently applying your new knowledge and skill to create your own wheel-thrown cup. After a few weeks for firing and glazing, your cup will arrive in the post to your home.

She has fished tournaments in the Caribbean, worked on the lobster boats out of Newquay Harbour, helped fishermen develop and deliver a direct to customer service during lockdown and writes for national and international press on sustainable seafood. You will learn to handle and get the most out of your shellfish, gathering tips and tricks learnt from decades of experience all whilst enjoying warm hospitality in Katy's coastal home. If it's all too much for one sitting you can take home the rewards of your efforts for a salad or sandwich safely packed and wrapped. This seafood experience class in Newquay will spoil you, entertain you and give you the skills and confidence to buy the more exotic seafood that many feel is too fiddly or complicated to prepare at home. Other things to note We will potentially meet at the Harbour if timing works out for you to collect the shellfish with me, which means coming back up a steep hill/steps, keep this in mind in terms of fitness/ability levels.

During the workshop experience you will learn traditional craftsmanship jewellery making skills and techniques in small groups in a relaxed atmosphere. You'll be welcomed into my home, where the sterling silver ring making workshop will take place. You will learn to size your finger, measure out silver, cut, file and shape the metal before moving on to soldering, texturing and polishing. Eco silver and use of tools are included in the price and your pieces of jewellery will go home with you. Although designed for beginners, all are welcome to come and get creative with silver. The workshop will last approximately 3 hours. If you can't find a day or time that fits in with your plans, just get in touch as I am happy to change the workshop calendar to suit you. Please note that I have a friendly dog. She will not be taking part in the workshop and will only be allowed in to greet you if you agree...however, if you have allergies this is something you need to consider.

A fantastic one and half hour workshop ,harnessing the necessary skill set to work artistically with resin. You’ll learn the fundamental skills required to create your very own resin art Ocean master piece. This masterpiece will be a 250 x 300 mm piece of priceless art, framed and ready for you to hang in your home. Set back from the harbour front within the Sloop Studios the print studio is a chance to get messy in a working makers space. From experiencing hands on carving to making your own print runs. Erin will be on hand to help you with your design and guide you how to make your own stamps or screens. Learn the basics to making a lino block to printing your own fabric samples. All materials are provided with pockets of print knowledge. Other things to note The studio is open to families, one to one workshops and parties. The studio is a very relaxed working studio. Cornish Pasty Course The course kicks off with a proper pasty making demonstration that covers the history and culture of the Cornish pasty. Students then have a go at making their own pasty with hands on guidance from our tutors – especially during the all important crimping! Whilst the pasties are in the oven students will enjoy a demonstration of homemade scones. Students then sit down to enjoy a classic Cornish cream tea before heading home with their freshly baked pasties.

This is an exciting and unique opportunity to take part in a family beach photoshoot. Taking place in a local 'not known to tourists' environment, you'll have the chance to create some fabulous memories of your holiday time in the St Ives/Carbis Bay/Hayle environment. I use a stunning beach with gorgeous sand dunes and solitude even in high summer. I'm a lifestyle photographer who has worked in Europe and is now based locally back in Penzance. I'm a local who grew up here running wild on the local coasts and sand dunes, so have lots of local knowledge I can share with you. If you're an amateur photographer, I'm also happy to share tips and tricks with you so that you can create your own stunning images while on holiday. I include approximately 20-30 high res (for artwork) and low res (for social media platforms) so you're ready to share with family and friends. The private group price includes up to 4 adults, and any children in your family. What we’ll do : Discover why Cornwall is a surfers paradise with a two hour surf workshop that will have you catching waves and standing up in no time. Set in the heart of Newquay's beautiful Watergate Bay, we'll take you through surf essentials like beach safety and gear guides before getting you in the water and catching waves. Watergate is the perfect beach to fall in love with both the Cornish coast and this awesome sport.

From wild swimming, and low-level traversing, to everyone’s favourite, deep water cliff jumps. Not to mention scrambling up gullies, swimming through sluices, getting washed around in whirlpools, or exploring large caves. Coasteering has something for everyone and provides a unique way to explore the coastline in a fun and relaxed environment​. Arriving at our central base in Newquay, you'll be welcomed by myself or one of the team. After an introduction and a quick overview of your activity, it's time to jump into wetsuits and start getting kitted up for your experience. Once everyone is ready, our coasteering location locally known as 'the Gazzle' (Cornish word for armpit) is just a short 5 minute walk away. Before we enter the sea your guide will explain and demonstrate all the various elements you will come across and the skills and techniques you'll need to have an amazing time. Remember you don't need any previous coasteering experience & you won't have to do anything you don't want! BUT you must be confident to swim at least 50 metres in open water. Other things to note Coasteering is an activity governed by the tide and sea conditions on the day. Our session times reflect the best today conditions each day. No coasteering experience is necessary​​​ to join. You can do as much or as little as you like.

Please message to arrange alternative dates and times! Come to our small holding and have a cream tea in our field with the pygmy goats, three ponies and chickens, ducks, peacocks and pea hens around you. Ideal for people who want to stroke the goats and their babies or for poultry enthusiasts! We currently have baby ducklings and pea chicks. We love our animals and think you will. If you want to learn about looking after goats or poultry this is also ideal, or relax and have your cream tea and take in the experience.

Have you ever wanted to try surfing before? Have you spent hours watching how people glide effortlessly along with the wave and thought I would like to have a go at that? Well now is your chance to make that dream a reality. Whether it's your first time surfing or have had a few lessons before you will love your surf experience with us at Stoked Surf School. Firstly, we will get you kitted out with a full-length wetsuit to keep you nice and toasty during your 2-hour surf lesson. Then it's a short walk down to the beautiful Perranporth beach where you are treated to one of Cornwall's longest beaches boasting over 2.5 miles of golden sand providing consistent surf all year round. A true surfers paradise. From here your surf coach will show you how to paddle and catch your own waves, taking it nice and easy. Once you are happy with that we will then show you how to stand up and ride your first ever wave all the way to the beach a feeling that you will remember for a very long time. We acknowledge that surfing is quite a hard sport to get into and you are going to fall off (a lot) but it can also be really enjoyable. With the right tuition and loads of positive vibes, we will try our best to get you standing and riding those waves in no time. All you need to bring is a can-do attitude and plenty of enthusiasm !! And we will take care of the rest.

Coasteering and Wild Swimming the Cornish Coastline with the The Sea Club. We'll meet you down by the sea and get you kitted out with suits and helmets and head down to the clifftops. Instructor will guide you to sit down on the rocks for a quick brief on our safety equipment, coasteer techniques and where we'll be taking you on your coasteering adventure. Once you are all clued up on all your coasteering techniques we'll head off. Wild swimming, climbing, rock hopping and deep water cliff jumping along the beautiful Cornish coastline. Exploring hidden old smugglers caves and getting your adrenaline pumping, jumping off the cliffs.
