This is a 2 ½ hour walking and tasting tour, and takes place rain or shine throughout the year - so dress for the weather! This is a three part tour! First, we start the tour at a designated meeting spot in downtown Salt Lake City and begin with a 15-minute orientation of Utah’s rich history. Second, we adjourn inside to taste a flight of Utah whiskies hearing the stories behind these distilleries. Finally, we return outside for the 8 block walking portion (35 minutes) touring downtown Salt Lake City, where we show you an insider's view of how the city was designed, where the first tavern was, and even the red light district! On this unique, adventurous experience you will get a a birds eye view of The Great Salt Lake that puts into perspective the scale and beauty of this top Utah attraction. What would take a full day to see by car, we will squeeze into an action packed 40 minute flight. The GSL is an iconic landmark and you will see views that have been constantly evolving since it’s creation during the Bonneville flood over 14,500 years ago! One of the benefits of visiting the lake by air is we have no negative ecological impact. The sensitive eco-system is able to grow and evolve as if we were never there. You will see many of the animals that call the Great Salt Lake home such as antelope, buffalo, deer, coyote, and even eagles. Upon meeting at the airport I will escort you to our trusty steed, a vintage Cessna Bush-plane straight out of Alaska. The airplane we will be using is one of the greatest tools for exploring the local area and you are guaranteed a flight you will never forget. After a quick safety briefing we will get in the plane, buckle up, and begin our adventure. Half of the flight will be up high with expansive views, and the other half will be "low and slow" where you will feel like we are in a flying car. With four seats there is room for the pilot and three passengers each flight.

Walk downtown Salt Lake stopping at the best coffee shops, cafes and local hotspots for the best downtown has to offer. Have a fun Instagram worthy day of light refreshments, drinks and local culture along with tons of tips and suggestions for the rest of your trip. We will also use the local trax train to help you learn how to navigate the city using public transportation. In total we will spend about 3 to 4 hours together visiting some of the most well-known sites in the city such as Temple Square, Gallivan Plaza (one of the sites of the 2002 Olympic games) and Library Square as well as some local favorites such as the Pie Hole, and Ken Sanders Rare Books. Stopping at coffee shops, cafes, and locations based on your interests and food preferences. The best part about traveling with a local is that I can adjust to help create the best experience for the group.

We'll begin with an in-depth tour of our Past Worlds gallery and end with a behind-the-scenes visit inside our Paleo Lab. In the gallery, we will talk about dinosaurs found in Utah (some known exclusively from our own collections) and explore the ecosystems and adaptations that make these animals so fascinating. Inside the Paleo Lab, we will get a sneak peek at the projects that our paleontology volunteers are working on and learn about the techniques used to prepare our most recent discoveries. The tour is for adults and teens 13 years or older. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Maximum number of participants is 10. Admission is complementary with purchase of the experience. Admission fees cannot be deducted from the package price. Tour length is approximately 2 hours or so, depending on group discussions. Face masks are optional and not required.

In our most popular class, you will learn how a piece of jewelry is made through hands-on experience. By creating a bezel set piece with sterling silver and a cabochon, you will learn how to use the tools and the torch to custom make a ring or pendant with a stone you choose from our large selection. We provide all the tools, equipment, materials, and stones... we have everything you need! The experience takes 2-3 hours, depending on class size. Other things to note: Remember your glasses if needed, bring a water bottle, and please tie your long hair back.

Along the way we spot for wildlife, with a wild herd of 600 American Bison roaming the island. Amongst the Bison we'll watch for coyote, bobcat, antelope, porcupine, big-horn sheep, mule deer and if the season is right up to 200,000 migratory birds. We'll pick you up from the Hilton Hotel Downtown (255 South West Temple) We drive the island and visit both the west and east sides, wildlife spot and explore the epic views.

We will provide a tour of Epic Brewing Company's original brewery followed by a beer tasting of up to four flagship beers curated to the guest's preferences and facts along the tour. We will talk about the history of the building, beer in general, describe the general brewing process, unique qualities about Epic beer, and share a tasting experience. This tour and tasting is great for small groups, team bonding, and weekend getawayers. Please wear close-toed shoes. We will provide safety glasses. Guests will tour Utah’s first dedicated hard cider manufacturer. This 45-minute experience includes an educational tour of our background, the process of hard cider making, what makes Utah's alcohol scene unique and a possible meet and greet with the head cidermaker. We will conclude with a 5oz craft cider tasting flight choreographed by the staff. ** ALL GUESTS MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER WITH VALID PROOF OF IDENTIFICATION

We'll start with an orientation & go over some safety protocols as you'll be handling hand tools. Then you'll have a chance to look through samples of finished earrings, pendants, and rings while we talk about what you want to make. You can choose to follow a template or you can create something totally new. I'll be with you, guiding and teaching as you take a raw piece of metal and shape it into a gorgeous piece of jewelry. When you walk away you'll have a ring, but you'll also have an experience with a story to tell. People will compliment your jewelry and you'll be able to say, "Really? Thanks! I made it." Or, "My husband made it for me!" There's something magical about shaping building jewelry with a special person in mind. In this fun, hands-on class, Chef Ridic will share his culinary expertise with you to help you master the art of pasta-making. You’ll roll up your sleeves to combine flour, eggs, olive oil, and salt for the perfect pasta dough. After you knead and shape your dough into classic pasta shapes, Chef Ridic will teach everyone foolproof recipes for two decadent sauces. First, you’ll simmer up some savory bacon to make silky smooth Carbonara sauce. Next, whip up a creamy, decadent Alfredo sauce using freshly-grated Parmesan cheese. Smother your noodles in these rich, mouthwatering sauces and enjoy an impressive, chef-approved meal!

Our guests will have a private or small group experience with our alpacas. The animals will be mingle with the guests as they arrive and learn about alpacas. When guests arrive, we will give a short lesson on what an alpaca is and how we care for them. We will learn about where alpacas originate (specifically the family lines of our animals) and why they do well in our climate. Guests will be free to ask questions at any time. Guests will be able to feed the alpacas pellets, touch their fiber, and touch the soft pads of their feet. Alpaca-willing, the guests can also take close-up selfies with the animals. The guests will then be free to mingle with the animals while they enjoy refreshments and play the available backyard games. While the guests enjoy their visit, I will take photos of their experience that will be emailed to them. Our small farm shop will be available for visitors. When the guests leave, they will have a bigger or new-found enthusiasm for alpacas and alpaca-derived products. Guests will know how and why alpacas are bred and how their lifestyle and life-cycle support a healthy earth. Best of all, guests will leave with photos and memories of the unique personalities our alpacas have!
